ASID Showcase Home Red roses
Red roses create the fun splash of color in this little girl’s room. The 2004 ASID showcase home award winning space is one of my favorites. The space was incredible to start with; I loved the rounded space the turret created. I decided to create a lofted play space for a little hide away. The loft mural is a magical tree surrounded by fairies. Plexiglas surrounds the space to keep the little girl safe; a library ladder was added so she could roll it out of the way. For the bedroom I was inspired by the blue floral fabric and ran with the color scheme in the custom mural. For the window treatment I created a rounded scalloped valance trimmed in wide ruffled blue ribbon. Full drapes create privacy and darken the space for a good night sleep. This little girls floral fantasy space is sure the give her years of enjoyment!
Giselle's Classic Elegance Room
Classic and elegant this toddler’s room was inspired by a gorgeous pink dresser. Longevity was the goal, so I paired floral and ginghams that will last through the years on a crisp white matelasse bedspread with scalloped edge. The Euro shams are trimmed with a ribbon tassel trim on a scalloped flange. The duvet and queen shams are finished with crisp ties. A decorative tassel trimmed neck roll pillow is the finishing touch. This princess and the pea bed will definitely be enjoyed for years to come!
Giselle's Dresser
The pink dresser was the inspiration for Giselle’s classically styled room. Accessorized to the tea, a crystal lamp with pink shade, silver tea set, photo frame and baby memorabilia are perfectly placed. An oval gold mirror finishes the space and reflects the gorgeous antic floral chandelier that is the crown jewel of the space.
Giselle's Pillows
Pillows can really add dimension and interest to a bed. On this bed they are classic and full to match the scale of the elegant four poster bed. The Euro shams are trimmed with a ribbon tassel trim on a scalloped flange. The queen shams are finished with crisp ties. A decorative tassel trimmed neck roll pillow is the finishing touch. This princess and the pea bed will definitely be enjoyed for years to come!
